🕯️ Candle Care
How to Get the Most From Your Flame
Your candles deserve a little love. With the right care, they’ll burn longer, cleaner, and brighter — giving you the full mood‑setting experience Unique Flames is known for.
✨ Before You Light
Trim the Wick — Keep your wick at ¼ inch before each burn to prevent soot and oversized flames.
Check the Surface — Make sure your candle is on a heat‑safe, level surface.
Clear the Area — Remove any debris, matches, or wick trimmings from the wax pool.
🔥 During the Burn
Let It Melt Edge to Edge — On the first burn, allow the wax to melt completely across the top. This prevents tunneling and ensures an even burn.
Burn in 2–4 Hour Sessions — Long enough for a full melt pool, short enough to protect the wick and vessel.
Never Leave Unattended — Keep candles within sight and away from drafts, pets, and little hands.
🌿 After You Extinguish
Use a Snuffer — Blowing out a candle can cause smoke and splatter; a snuffer keeps things clean.
Re‑Center the Wick — While the wax is still warm, gently nudge the wick back to the center to ensure even future burns.
Let It Cool Completely — Wait until the wax is solid before moving the candle.
💛 Make Your Candle Last
Store in a Cool, Dry Place — Heat and sunlight can fade fragrance and discolor wax.
Keep the Lid On — Helps preserve scent between burns.
Rotate Your Candles — If you burn multiple candles, give each one time to rest for the best performance.
🧼 Cleaning & Reusing Your Vessel
Freeze the Wax — A few hours in the freezer helps leftover wax pop out easily.
Wash With Warm Soapy Water — Once empty, your jar can be reused for storage, décor, or gifting.
Recycle or Repurpose — Our vessels are designed to live on long after the flame is gone.
🔥 Safety First
Keep Away From Flammables
Never Burn to the Bottom — Stop burning when ½ inch of wax remains.
Use Caution With Multiple Candles — Space them at least 3 inches apart.
✨ Enjoy the Glow
Candle care is part of the ritual. With these simple steps, your Unique Flames candles will burn beautifully — filling your space with warmth, scent, and atmosphere.
